So it’s been a while… I know, I know, but in my defense I’m still without a computer at home so I have to rely on the kindness of my parents who are allowing me the use of their PC and my evening shift at the hotel. Things slowed down pretty much after the Winter Carnaval so I have some time to transcribe what I wrote on paper.
Yep, not having a computer sucks a lot! And lets not forget about real life, right? In between my shifts at the hotel I was able to find enough time to actually go to the movie theater (the last time I had been there was back in Feb 2013 for Warm Bodies!) and see Fifty Shades of Grey! My expectations weren’t as high as some other people. I mean I’m a fan, from way back when FSoG was Master of the Universe (I’m blushing now, ’cause I’m a very vocal anti-Twilight person normally and MotU was the only Twilight fic I ever read) and I knew that the movie wouldn’t match 100% what I had envisoned. I mean my Christian was Henry Cavill, although Jamie Dornan did an amazing job with a character who, let’s be honest, isn’t an easy one (I mean, being 3-4 years old and spending 4 days locked in an appartment with your dead mother’s body? Yeah, no surprise he ended up 50 shades of f*cked up). And Dakota Johnson? I was blowned away! But then she’s Tippi Hedren’s granddaughter, Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson’s daughter and Antonio Banderas’ ex-stepdaughter, she’s got quite the acting pedigree. Anyway, I thought FSoG was a great entertainment and I can’t wait for Fifty Shades Darker (they start shooting in June, I think I’ll take my vacations at that time and couch crash at my former roomie’s place in Vancouver, BC).
So… In the last two weeks my stories and I were the recipients of lots of love (a big thanks to the awesome Kelpie for the stories and author spotlights!). I can’t begin to tell you how much it means to me…
Enough with me being extremely emotional over the love y’all are pouring at me… A new chapter of Dead Briefs is now ready for you!!!!!! As usual you are more than welcome to leave a comment, a review, a note, they mean the world to me.
